Citizens invited to constituency change conference – Daily Local

Work began on drawing a district map of the new United States Parliament and the Pennsylvania State Capitol and Senate. A new neighborhood map must be created by the end of the year.

The State Council is responsible for mapping the state’s 17 US parliamentary districts. The Legislative Redistribution Commission (LRC) is responsible for mapping the 253 legislative districts in the state.

Come hear Rich Rafferty, Fair District Manager, Montgomery County, PA, how this process is going and how you can hear your voice in support of the fair map. Please debate.

The American Association of University Women (AAUW) – Valley Forge Chapter is sponsoring a renewal event in the Fair District, Pennsylvania.

Date and time: Saturday October 9 at 10:00 a.m.
Location: Berwyn, Pennsylvania, First Avenue 720, Easttown Library

Everyone is welcome!

This hour-long educational event covers:

Who draws our new map?
What is their schedule?
How can you hear your voice through personal testimony?
How to draw / distribute your own map (if tilted).
The AAUW Valley Forge chapter also provides a zoom link for online participation.
