End of School Year Message from Superintendent Alexander | pelican post

Ascension School Superintendent David Alexander

Dear Ascension Public Schools Family,

I hope you all had a special Mother’s Day weekend. We have several exciting things to share with you as we enter the final weeks of the 2021-22 school year!

NEW NEIGHBORHOOD APPLICATION

Ascension Public Schools is excited to share a new district app designed primarily for parents/guardians to have quick access to important events and information about our schools and district.

The application is now available for download in the App Store. Visit https://youtu.be/bNGXP3EyxnQ to watch a demo on how to customize the app to get the information you want the most!

Once you have had the opportunity to download and use the app, please take a few minutes to share your feedback via this online survey: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/7FJQ5K5

GRADUATION CEREMONIES

It’s hard to believe the graduation ceremonies are happening this week. We can’t wait to celebrate the #Classof2022! We are very fortunate to once again partner with REV (formerly EATEL) to live stream our graduation ceremonies. Donaldsonville will be streamed live at 7 p.m. Friday, May 13 at www.youtube.com/c/AscensionPublicSchools. The REV YouTube channel, www.youtube.com/c/eatel01, will livestream the following ceremonies: Eastern Ascension at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 11; Dutchtown at 7 p.m., Thursday, May 12; and Saint-Amant at 7 p.m. on May 13.

Finally, I would like to commend our elementary and middle schools for their excellent work administering state tests. We know that our students have done their best and will finish this year strong!

Respectfully,

David Alexander

Superintendent

Ascension Public Schools
