West Chester – Guy Sialokki, president and CEO of the Chester County Chamber of Commerce, is on leave to run for governor of Pennsylvania.
Ciarrocchi is a Republican living in Paoli and has led the Chamber of Commerce for the past eight years.
“Tom Wolfe’s solution (for a pandemic) has killed a lot of our business,” Ciarrocchi said. “It is clear that the forces in Harrisburg and Washington do not care about local businesses, their employees or their families. Instead, they are much more worried about embracing leftist radicals. They broke small businesses, injured our students, burned our city. I am not silent in the struggle for our freedom. It’s time to have a leader who puts people first. I did. “
Ciarrocchi, 56, has joined territory crowded with Republicans such as former US Attorney Bill McSwain, former US Senator Lou Barletta and State Senator Doug Mastriano, Scott Martin and Dan Laughlin.
Democratic Governor Tom Wolf cannot be re-elected next year in his second term.
“Our Board of Directors is proud of Guy’s work as CEO. In addition, a lot of things about Guy and the work of our Chamber of Commerce where he occupies this important position. “I’m talking about this,” said Tom Kioment, chairman of the board.
During Ciarrocchi’s tenure, the Chamber of Commerce became one of the leading voices for economic development not only in the Philadelphia area but throughout Pennsylvania. And, in conjunction with the Board of Directors, the annual awards ceremony, which takes place each November at Longwood Gardens, has become one of the area’s must-see events.
“Guy’s leadership has been fully demonstrated to our members and small business owners, employees and citizens of our county and state throughout the COVID era and during the successful #VoteYes campaign. “The next president, David Hackett, said. “Our Board of Directors and staff are fully engaged and plan to ensure that the Chamber of Commerce continues to provide its members with excellent service, engagement and programming during Guy’s vacation.
Most recently, Ciarrocchi, Ciarrocchi, led the 2004 re-election campaign for former President George W. Bush in Pennsylvania, supporting efforts to place restrictions on the governor’s authority under the Declaration of Disaster emergency. This was in line with the COVID-19 blockade limit set by Governor Tom Wolf.
