LOS ANGELES, 24 October 2021 / PRNewswire / – Herbalife Nutrition (NYSE: HLF) honors Herbalife24 Los Angeles triathlon winners Vincent Luis and Emma Pallant-Browne, who took the first steps of the podium by winning the $ 40,000 price exchange. This year’s event hosted over 2,000 elite and amateur triathletes, as well as 60 pros from United States, Asia, and South America who fought for the top prize.
“Angelenos came to cheer on the thousands of athletes from all over the world participating in today’s events,” said Ibi Montesino, senior vice president and general manager of Herbalife Nutrition, North America region. “We would like to thank our sponsors, elected officials and all those who made it possible to host this event in complete safety.”
To ensure the safety of participants and spectators, the company worked with public health officials in Los Angeles to ensure that security protocols were in place and that they followed all applicable federal, state and local protocols. The event also followed COVID-19 security protocols established by United States Triathlon. In addition, disinfection stations and masks were available throughout the race for all.
In the elite male division, Vincent Louis, who trains in Tinqueux, France, crossed the finish line with a time of 01:46:43. In second position, Ben Kanute of Phoenix, Arizona, finished the race in 01:47:55, and Miki Taagholt from Odense S, Denmark, won the last place on the podium in 01:48:14.

In 2019, the Herbalife24 Los Angeles Triathlon brought the sport back to the streets of Los Angeles. In 2020, the event was canceled due to the pandemic. This year, the athletes once again began swimming in the ocean at the iconic venice beach. After the participants exited the water, the race continued by bike on Venice Blvd. and in the heart of Los Angeles, eventually culminating alongside iconic LA landmarks and ending at LA Live’s famed open-air Xbox Plaza venue.
This triathlon is the only urban point-to-point course, offering athletes various options of an international distance triathlon and relay and sprint as well as an Aquabike, a Bike Tour, and 5K Run walk.
At the end of the race, athletes and spectators gathered at the Finish Line Festival. The festival featured entertainment, a children’s area and Ninja Nation classes and other family activities.
The fundraising efforts of the 5k benefited JDRF, this year’s premier nonprofit that works to fund type 1 diabetes research. Upon arrival, as part of an official handover, the organization was awarded a $ 100,000 donation on behalf of Herbalife Nutrition and the Herbalife Nutrition Foundation.
