SHANGRAO, China, June 1, 2021 / PRNewswire / – JinkoSolar Holding Co., Ltd. (“JinkoSolar” or the “Company”) (NYSE: JKS), one of the world’s largest and most innovative solar module manufacturers, today announced that its flagship product Tiger Pro dual glass module has received the world’s first IEC TS 62804-1-1: 2020 certificate issued by DEKRA, one of the world’s largest independent inspection companies.
Through DEKRA’s product certification and testing, products must meet the necessary safety and performance standards, in accordance with international regulations. IEC TS 62804-1-1: 2020 tests and evaluates the effect of potential-induced degradation-delamination (PID-d) in the laminate of crystalline silicon photovoltaic modules. When the modules are exposed to high temperature and humidity for an extended period of time, the surface of the material accumulates positive charges and cathode gas is released into the cell circuit. This leads to metallization which causes reduced adhesion between the materials and ultimately delamination of the components of the module. The performance test added the DH1000 test associated with damp heat exposure to the test sequence of IEC TS 62804-1: 2015 and extended the duration of the PID test to 240 hours. Passing all tests fully demonstrated the module’s exceptional anti-PID performance, superior quality and high reliability in the most extreme environments.
Dr Hao Jin, CTO of JinkoSolar Co., Ltd., commented, “We are very pleased to be the first to receive DEKRA product certification for the best anti-PID performance results for the Tiger module. Pro. The market is accelerating its adoption of high performance modules to reduce LCOE, the market is also moving towards larger wafer sizes and new cell interconnect technologies capable of driving ultra-high power outputs. This highly technical demand poses many challenges when choosing critical products to maximize return on investment. The Tiger Pro series is our response to our customers’ needs for higher power output, high module efficiency, reliability and reduced resistance loss in all weather conditions. “
Mr. Jacky Bai, General Manager of DEKRA Solar Service, said: “Since the establishment of JinkoSolar, he has constantly attached importance to the quality control of the products. The entire process, from product development to update iterations, is strictly monitored and effectively avoids quality risks after product launch. cooperation, JinkoSolar further verified the unremitting efforts to ensure the output power of modules and improve the quality, and follow the most advanced standard dynamics. DEKRA looks forward to the continued cooperation with JinkoSolar and contributes to the continued production of quality and high performance modules for the Chinese photovoltaic industry. “
