It has been extremely frustrating for many in western New York over the past few days and weeks trying to find an appointment for the COVID-19 vaccine. Sometimes it’s just a matter of luck and when you check online. Those that open don’t last long.
However, there is now a website dedicated to helping people find an appointment for a COVID-19 vaccine in western New York City – and it’s very easy to use.
WGRZ reports that a website has called WNY Hound vaccine is designed to find all available vaccine appointments by county in Western New York. It was developed by faculty and graduate students from the University of Buffalo School of Management.
All you gotta do is search the particular county where you want to find a vaccine appointment. The website will then look for locations and provide links to open dates. It is that simple!
That doesn’t mean you won’t get the dreaded “no appointments available” message, but you can come back later to see when new appointments open. At least you won’t have to keep researching different sites individually for an open date (like I have for the last couple of days).
Those 30 and over were eligible for the vaccine Tuesday morning and next Tuesday, those 16 and over can register for an appointment for the vaccine.
Seriously, this mew website will save so many people time and effort.
